Evaluation 3

Here is the animatic we created out of our drawings.

As I was unable to embed the green screen, this is  what we accomplish on Premiere Pro, when layering and adding filters. We wanted to replicate the scene in How deep is your love, however when we got to the final video we decided to change it by not having them overlap as the colours and video became distorted.

Final Digipack

This is My DigiPak

Front Panel

Inside Panel

Digital mock up of ancillary 2

My second mock up for the ancillary was better because the back cover had a filter that stood out and attracted the eye of the audience. From following on from my first mock up, I changed the colour to make it more bright and appealing to our target audience.

Digital mock up of ancillary 1

My first mock up for my digipak was dismissed as it was bland and lacked colour and vibrancy, which is the conventions of my genre that I wanted to follow. The black and white filter on the front panel wasn't bringing the cover to life, therefore I wanted to change it to another colour.

Step by step process (Inside)

At first I wanted to put the artist inside the album but further away, therefore I used full body shots of places from shoreditch (where we had previously filmed) and used these pictures for my inside cover. I blurred one of the pictures because the CD will be going on top of it anyway, the main element on the blurred picture is the wall which is also in our music video.

When I asked my target audience they preferred the colour blue to pink so therefore I added a blue tint to the inside of my album

I then had a CD outline and placed it right in the middle, this worked out perfectly because you can still see the artist in the background.

I then added my CD cover, I chose to do this black and white because I felt as though making this blue would be too much and I didn't want to make  it pink because it may of been random, different colours came into my mind like yellow or orange because blue and yellow are complimentary colours however this doesn't go with our music video or my website, so I decided to stick to a simple black and white, again I used a close up of the artist and made sure that the sticker was visible, I used a close up because in the full body shot you cannot see the sticker so I wanted it to be visible on the CD.

This was my final product after adding in the text and logos, I added in the copyright details and our record label that our artist is signed to. I also added the name of our album which is Euphoria and the artists name, I chose to put the artists name smaller compared to the album title because on the outside it's vice versa and I think having the album's title bigger looked more effective.

Step by step process (front and back)

At first I had a close up photograph of the artist, I then changed the hue and the saturation to a cool blue tone then clicked on the colorize button. After doing that I added a shot that I had taken earlier on my camera from our Shoreditch scenes. I did the same to this photograph and changed the hue and saturation. I added the album's name Euphoria and the artist's name Layla Hadid. I used the font Helvetica Light which was available on Photoshop. Using the shape tool I added a rectangle on the back of the album to place my track lists on top. Using the same font I typed up the name's of our songs and placed it in the middle. I then added the record label, barcode, artist website, copyright details on the spine and the back.

Costumes for the products

Shortlisted photographs

These were the photographs I ended up sticking with these photographs for my digipak, the ones where the artist is against a wall will be used for the inside of my product and the close up photograph will be used for the front. I decided to use the close up photograph so that we could see the detailed eye sticker, if I was to use a mid shot we may not be able to have seen the sticker on the artist and this would defeat the purpose of the make up in the first place and there wouldn't be a synergy throughout. For the back of my cd cover I used the graffiti photograph from Shoreditch, I didn't want there to be too much of the artist so therefore I wanted to add something from the music video and looked at our base tracks and thought Shoreditch would be the most relevant and would look good on the cover. Even though I used these photographs I will edit them to change the colour of it.

Photos for ancillary product

These are some of the photographs that we took to use for our album cover and website. We wanted it to be quite simple with a white background and we made sure that her synergy item which is her eye design/sticker is clearly visible. The sticker is similar to the ones in the music video, however it is pink. The colour pink also goes well with our products, some of us in our group will have a pink tint to the album. Due to the sticker being pink/red we wanted the sticker to pop out more therefore went with a similar coloured tshirt. We didn't take any full body shots only mid shots and close ups because we felt as though the sticker wouldn't be visible and it wouldn't go well with our products. We tried our best to make sure that her eyes and the sticker was the key element in our album covers.
We also have our own individual shortlist.
